Thought this was going to be war metal for some reason but very pleasantly surprised to find out its gnarly deathgrind with all sorts of fun twists and turns through different styles. Frequently sounds like Mortician meets Crom as thuggish brutality gives way to pompous sludge grooves, taunting mince riffs, or the thud of war drums and clash of swords.

Carrion Bloom absolutely shred, one of my new favourite bands. The progression within this release following on from heretic howl is just perfect, and I can see big things on the horizon for this band. They certainly have their own take on the black metal sound but more than anything it’s those vocals that are the icing on a very cold and frosty cake! I wholeheartedly recommend!
